Thanks so much for pausing from your web surf to stop by our virtual home on the net. We believe you will find just enough information in these pages to encourage you to check us out in person. We know how intimidating it can be to visit a faith community for the first time. After all, all of us were first time visitors once; and all of us stayed!
If your questions aren't answered somewhere in these pages, we are just an email or phone call away. You can email our pastor, Paul Edwards, at paul@cbcwaterford.com or call Jan Austin in our church office at 248-674-4849.
Calvary Baptist Church is a Reformed Baptist congregation in the heart of Oakland County, Michigan.
We are reformed because we adhere to the historic Christian faith as it has come down to us through the confessions and creeds of the church. As such, we emphasize the sovereignty of God in salvation with a focus on the majesty and glory of God in worship.
We are Baptist because we observe the biblical practice of the baptism of believers in Jesus Christ by immersion in distinction from the practice of most reformed churches of paedo or infant baptism.
MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
We'd love to have you consider joining Calvary. Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and have been baptized by immersion in water are candidates for membership. The process begins with a one on one interview with one of our elders. From there you will be invited to a dinner we host once per quarter for all of those who are interested in learning more about what membership at Calvary means.
If you are interested in finding out more about membership, please read our Governing Document. Contact Jan Austin to arrange a time to meet with one of our elders.
