CONGREGATIONAL LEADERSHIP
There are three basic forms of church government: Episcopal church government (a single bishop at the top of a hierarchy), Presbyterian church government (a synod or presbytery governing a group or denomination), and Congregational church government (no governing body above that of the local church). Calvary is governed congregationally. All of our decisions are made locally.

The New Testament recognizes two leadership offices in the local church: pastors (or elders) and deacons. Within that context, we have a plurality of elders that give leadership within our local body. These elders are responsible for leading and feeding the flock. They are assisted in their task by our deacons.

The following men presently serve our congregation as elders:

  • Gene Austin
  • Daniel Barth - College and Young Adults
  • Dane Bezemek - Family Discipleship
  • Paul Edwards - Teaching Pastor
  • Darran Scrivner
  • David Whiteaker - Pastor of Youth and Spiritual Formation

The following men presently serve our congregation as Deacons:

  • Mark Barth
  • Ed Caddell
  • Robert Rhodes
